Indigo Dying Class, Furushiki, Best living Japan TUES. Oct 6 (9:15-11:45) Tokyo Indigo Textile Design  ** THIS CLASS IS FULL **

Itajime Shibori with Aizome is a traditional handicraft using a shape-resist technique to produce patterns on the fabric. Ai (indigo) is a dye that is collected from the leaves of the Japanese indigo plant. People are attracted to its deep, bright blue color, which many call “Japan blue”. Indigo has antibacterial and insect repellent properties, and is also effective for preventing odors.This session each student will make a 1.5m x .5m linen scarf. Class session and all materials is 7,500 yen (including tax).

  1. Your class in October says “Indigo TUES. Oct 21 (9:15-11:45)” to tick the box, but an above description says “WED. Oct 21 (9:15-11:45)”. Is the October class on a Tuesday (20) or Wednesday (21)? Thank you!
