Our kids love holiday lights as much as we do so we`re posting our favorite Tokyo Area 2019 Illuminations picks. Some have started this week so head on out to get in an early holiday mood. We love biking around after dinner to get family photos. Some of the illuminations stay up in the New Year so you can enjoy for months to come. The following are in alphabetical order.

6. Omotesando Hills (Omotesando, Tokyo) – November 13 until December 25, 2019
This indoor illumination is quite brilliant with over 300,000 lights. The theme this year is “Brilliant Aqua Tree-Christmas in the magic of water” A constantly changing Christmas illumination.” A Christmas tree will be placed behind an aquarium. As the amount of water in each tank changes with the music, the appearance of the Christmas tree that shines with LED lights changes clearly as it appears clearly or looks like a mosaic. The show takes place for a duration of 5 minutes every 30 min. I would combine a late afternoon visit to Omotesando Hills to make sure you catch the illuminations outside from sunset.
