Thomas Land is one of our favorite theme parks for young kids on our list of TOP Theme Parks in Japan. Thomas Land, in Yamanashi, Japan, is the world’s first Thomas & Friends Theme Park. Located a 1.5 hour drive from central Tokyo, and within the Fuji-Q Highland Theme Park, it`s a great day trip with your Thomas loving kids. If one day is not enough plan to stay in one of the Thomas-themed rooms at the neighbouring Fuji Q Highland Resort Hotel & Spa.
Thomas Land has a variety of attractions; a three floor wooden maze with stamp rally; the Party Parade ride which takes you on a rail journey to join Thomas and his friends for a birthday party; “Thomas and Percy’s Fun Ride”, an outdoor rail ride where you can enjoy viewing the entire island of Sodor, self-drive vehicles at only 100 yen per ride (the self-drive vehicles dispense a souvenir card at the start of each ride), “Mischievous Cranky”, a rotating aerial ride, “Rock`n Roll Duncan”, a roller coaster ride for small children, monuments to Thomas and Percy for photo opportunities, and much more.
