My two favorite home shopping centers in Tokyo are D2 and Super Viva Home Center. If I need something quickly, I bike over to the local D2, but if I need a wider DIY selection a visit to Super Viva Home Center is the answer. If Home Depot had a baby with Kmart, it would be Super Viva Home Center. From lumber and power tools to cleaning supplies and pet goods.

Super Viva Home Center, Toyosu

Today Baby and I shopped for a few hours and walked away with some wood flooring, a circular saw, extra pieces of wood for an art project, some paint and brushes. Even if you are not in the market for power tools and lumber Super Viva Home Center is a great place to do big shopping to outfit your home; organisational items from baskets to hangers, throw rugs, cleaning products, shelving, lighting, flowers and plants and on and on. It is is conveniently located near Toyosu station. Super Viva Home Center also has a very large parking garage – get your parking voucher validated for cheap to free parking depending on purchase amount. The Super Viva Home Centre is on the 1st floor; the 2nd floor of the building has other retailers.

D2 is also another good home centre chain in Tokyo and other metro areas in Japan.
