September 2 & 3, 2017 Tokyo Weekend Family Events and Activities1. Hibiya Octoberfest – The Hibiya Octoberfest is a great place to enjoy the afternoon with your family. Have some beer, and the kids will enjoy the sausages and other great German food being served. After enjoying your feast head over to check out some shopping at Cafe & Meal Muji, or a little further at the newly opened Muji Flagship StoreTakumi or Itoya in Ginza. If you are in exercise mood, not shopping, and it is Sunday, try borrowing bikes and enjoy the park. The festival is 10 days so enjoy!

Malaysian Makan Festival, Yokohama – If you love Malaysian food (nasi gorengnasi ayam (chicken rice), roti flatbread, etc), beverages, music, dancing and hospitality you will have a great time a this indoor festival. Make a day trip and visit the Cup Noodles Museum and the Overseas Migration Museum, which are walking distance to the Zou-no-Hana Terrace.

The Farmers Market at the UN University 3. Tokyo Farmers Markets are a great place to visit in the autumn as Japanese Pears Nashi, Persimmons, mushrooms and other bounty are in season and oh so, so yummy. My kids love biking to the Farmers Market and buying their special vegetable and fruit treats.

Nashi Japanese PearIbaraki Farmers Market (Roppongi Hills) Details
When: Saturday, September 2; 6:30 – 8:30 *closes when everything is sold.
