Join us for an Intro to Aizome: Resist & Tying Indigo Dyeing Classes this 2021 Fall.  Itajime Shibori with Aizome is a traditional handicraft using a shape-resist technique to produce patterns on the fabric.  In this session, each student will make a 1.2m x .5m linen piece which can be used as a table runner, scarf, artwork, or made into apparel. Class sessions and all materials are 7,500 yen (+ 10% tax). We also offer Intermediate and Advanced Aizome classes after you have completed the intro to Aizome.

Lauren Bliss Kawasaki has been learning kintsugi, indigo and washi arts for over five years and teaching for two. She is a Mom of four kids, three pets, and Co-Founder of Best Living Japan. Lauren was a studio art major in undergrad but was sucked into the business world graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School and working 20+ years in the corporate world (Hill & Knowlton, Clorox, BabyCenter.com and Amazon.com & Amazon.co.jp). She retired in 2014 to follow her creative passions and help empower other creators to identify and pursue their passions and make money.
