In Japanese, “chigiri” means to tear, and “e” means picture/painting. Chigiri-e is a unique and authentic technique of Japanese paper collage. In this workshop, you will learn how to create beautiful artwork from torn washi paper. A kit, including a design motif, high-quality washi papers, a card, and an envelope, will be used as the material. The finished piece is excellent for a greeting card, a display, a gift, or a souvenir.
