Osaka One Day Itinerary – Osaka with Kids

Osaka is a lovely city filled with yummy street food, lively locals and a number of fun things to do. Many travel to Osaka from Tokyo by plane or shinkansen (bullet train). If traveling via the bullet train you`ll arrive at Shin-Osaka station. It`s a busy station with a number of hotels, restaurants and shops in the area. A family-friendly hotel we recommend staying at is the Hotel MYSTAYS Shin-Osaka Conference Center. English-friendly, clean and affordable.

Located in front of Ogimachi Park Playground is Kids Plaza an excellent indoor museum to take your kids rain or shine. Built as an educational museum in 1997 it provides three floors of exhibits and activities that will keep your kids interested and engaged for hours.

We loved the discovery floor, which holds workshops and exhibitions as well as a large nature exhibit and science area; the adventure floor with food stands and various shops where your kids can play shop keeper; the huge maze where your kids can climb and explore, and creative floor with different programs aiming to improve individual expression & creativity. For more details –>

Tsutentaku Tower Tsutenkaku Tower

Tsutenkaku Tower, the “Eiffel Tower of Naniwa,” is a must visit if in Osaka. Tsutenkaku Tower stands at 103m with two observation levels; the indoor observation level at 84m (276ft), and the outdoor observation deck at 94.5m (310ft). You can buy a ticket to the 1st observation deck or a ticket to visit both. I highly recommend buying the ticket to visit both.
