Nitori is the IKEA or Bed Bath & Beyond of Japan selling affordable furniture and interior goods. Nitori is a nationwide chain with more than 300 stores throughout Japan and around 50 stores outside the country. It’s a great place to shop if you are setting up a home in Japan or if you want to add some new seasonal accessories and update your place. The biggest one in central Tokyo opened in June 2017 and is conveniently located a 5-minute from Shibuya Station. The Shibuya Nitori has nine floors of home accessories, linens, and furnishings. The one in Nakameguro, although smaller is also only a 5 min walk from the station. Nitori makes in-store shopping super easy by using their mobile phone ap. Download the ap and scan the codes on products as you shop. Then either buy online and have everything shipped to your home or take the ap to check-out and they will consolidate the items for you. Nitori home store services include free curtain quotes, product returns, and gift wrapping.
