If you are planning a family ski vacation to Niseko, Hokkaido, register your children early to attend one of the top Niseko Kids Ski Schools. I was told there are over 30 ski schools in Niseko, however, after some personal research and visiting Niseko we are recommending three English language children ski programs. All three recommend schools offer ski and snowboard lessons. Reservations are essential, especially during peak season periods (December & January). Most of the schools offer 10-20% off lesson rates for February – April.

Niseko Kids Ski Schools – English Language Children Ski Programs
All three schools offer full-day program for 3 years to adults. The biggest determining factor for parents will probably be location of the school meeting place and your accommodations. Niseko ski resort has four base areas which each have different accommodations and transport. Here is a map of the entire resort which show the four resort areas – Niseko Annupuri, Niseko Village Area, Niseko Grand Hirafu Area and Niseko HANAZONO Resort Area.

1. GoSnow – GoSnow offers both kids group and private lessons 1/2 day and full day. The kid’s lessons all take place at Niseko Grand Hirafu Area at both the Family and Gondola bases. Ages: 3 – 14 years. GoSnow divides kids by age and level. Lessons run from 9:30 0 3:30. GoSnow is the largest program with over 150 instructors but still feels intimate with great private ski area and magic carpets at both locations. Lunch included in full day program. Lift and equipment not included. Kids preschool and under need a lift ticket. Kids must be toilet trained. Reservations can be booked online here.

2. NBS – Niseko Base Snowsports offers both kids group and private lessons 1/2 day and full day. The kid’s lessons all take place at Niseko Grand Hirafu Area. Ages: 3 – 14 years. NBS divides kids by age and level. Lessons run from 9:30 0 3:30. You can also drop off early at 8:30-9:30 for 1,500 JPY extra charge. Kids must be toilet trained. - If your child has a food allergy you will need to notify the Kids Club Coordinator upon arrival on the first
morning. We do not cater for children with food allergies. If your child has a food allergy they must bring their own lunch or be picked up for the lunch break. - Lessons do not include a lift ticket or equipment. This must be purchased separately.

3. NISS – Niskeo International Snowsports School offers both kids group and private lessons. The kids lessons all take place at HANAZONO Ski area. Ages: 3 – 14 years. Kids must be toilet trained and must understand some English. NBS divides kids by age and level. NISS provides a skill passport which tracks your childs ski progress and a healthy lunch included in the daily fee. You can book NISS ski lessons here.

- Poles are not required for Tic Tac Group Lessons.
