Dear Curious and Creative – I highly recommend you attend the Ninnami Dohachi Exhibit at the Suntory Museum. Loved this ceramics exhibit! Should add a caveat that I am a pottery lover. However, even if you are not a collector of tea ceremony cups, you will enjoy this exhibit. Dohachi an 18 – 19th-century Kyoto-based potter had a keen sense of humour. My favourite part of the exhibit were the huge incense burners of monkeys and monks whose mouths are the diffuser of the incense smoke. If you are going to attend one ceramic exhibit this year, I recommend the Ninnami Dohachi Exhibit! Probably the best ceramics exhibit I have seen in Japan. Ends March 1st, so you have one month left.
