Lohas Cafe (ロハスカフェ), Ariake is spacious and bright with high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, an up close view of greenery, free wifi and baby-friendly space – a great spot to lunch after a morning at the free Tokyo Water Science Museum.
Lohas Cafe, located in the Musashino University campus, collaborated with the students of Environmental Studies in the store concept and design. The cafe has a lofty feel furnished with long, wood open style tables; smaller tables line the windows and back wall for more private seating. The cafe is baby-friendly providing IKEA high-chairs, kid-friendly tableware, baby-friendly corner and patio space ideal for crawlers and beginner walkers. Parents are also welcome to bring in baby food.
Their menu offers a variety of rice, curry and pasta dishes all less than 1000 yen a plate, sides, desserts and spirits. Magazines and books from design to cooking are available to read (Japanese only) and free wifi is available in the store after account sign-up.
Post lunch take a stroll down the promenade or hop on a Tokyo Rental Bike and explore the area; visit the Tokyo Fashion Town Building, Panasonic Center Tokyo, TOC Ariake or the Tokyo Water Science Museum. Have fun!
