Kuritsu Komatsunagi Park and Shrine is a hidden gem in Setagaya. It`s located a short walk from some of our favorite lunch spots and parks; 3 minute walk from our favorite, local family-friendly Napoli Pizza spot, Savoy Pizza Mishuku, a 7 minute walk from Fungo Breakfast and Burgers Cafe, and a 10 minute walk from Setagaya Play Park and Kodomo no Hiroba.
Kuritsu Komatsunagi Playground Park is built on a hill and has everything you need for active kids. They have the option to climb through the dirt, walk up the stairs or crawl through netted tunnels to the top of the shaded hill to go down the long rolling pin slide; climb into/onto and
hold tight to a large spinning globe, swing on one of four swings or relax in the sand pit. It has a variety of flowers and is well shaded from the summer heat.
The park is also located next to the Komatsunagi Shinto Shrine which was rebuilt in 1964 and holds ceremonies such as 753, 100 days after birth, weddings, prayer rituals, etc. A nice, quiet spot to pray and take in nature.
Kuritsu Komatsunagi Playground Park has the following equipment:
– Spinning Globe
– Small slide and Long Rolling Pin Slide
– Netted Tunnels
– Four swings
– Enclosed sandbox
