Kiba Park

Kiba Park (Koto-ku, Tokyo) – A spacious park, great for sporty types

Kiba ParkKiba Park (木場公園) is a large, spacious park great for sporty types. The north end houses The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, a multi-use field, tennis courts and outdoor stage, while the south has a grassy area, BBQ field (reservations required), dog run and botanical garden – maintained and administered by the Park and volunteer groups (Hours 9:00-16:30). The park is so large they have a suspension bridge connecting the two parks. It`s a great spot for a relaxing afternoon with family and friends.

Museum of Contemporary Art TokyoA nice outing would be to visit the Pixar: 30 Years of Animation exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, have a meal at the museum`s Cafe Hai then spend the remainder of the afternoon at the playground. While you are in the neighbourhood check out the Kyosumi Garden which has HUGE carp and turtles to feed, grab a cup of ice coffee at the Blue Bottle or have an early dinner at Organic Cafe Lulu located at the South end of the park.
