The onsens are simple alkaline hot springs which are slightly white. The onsen water is supposed to help with tired muscles, joint pain, stiffness and recovery from exhaustion. Was perfect after a day hiking.

The Keio Takaosan Onsen facility is a two story structure with a restaurant, resting room and massage facility on the 1st floor. The onsens are on the top floor and both the men and women facilities have saunas, indoor and outdoor onsens. The dressing area provides lockers, Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyuhairdryers and various lotions and amenities. You can rent towels if you have forgotten your own, but can add up if a family (rentals: small towel 200 JPY, bath towel 200, or set 350 JPY). The facility has baby changing areas, highchairs, and strollers parking.

After the onsen time enjoy a Japanese meal and some beer in their restaurant on the 1st floor. Food offerings include soba, curry rice, sushi, Sashimi, and everyday Japanese foods and beverages.  Even picky eaters will find something they like.
