Kayanoya Dashi & Seasonings Shop – Locations throughout Japan

Kayanoya dashi is my favorite instant dashi to cook with. Kayanoya specializes in offering carefully prepared, authentic seasonings and foods to make delicious dishes with the minimum of fuss. All are made without any artificial flavors or preservatives, and a super easy to use.

Kayanoya Stores are located throughout Japan and all carry a variety of dashi, seasonings and dashi gift packages. Their original dashi stock powder is our favorite to use for cooking and seasoning. It`s made from the highest quality materials, is convenient and ready in minutes. The dashi `consists of konbu, bonito flakes, round herring, and grilled ago (flying fish), powdered and packaged to create a true Japanese dashi. It`s useful for a variety of dishes, and adds great umami (savory flavor) to miso soup and stews. Since the ingredients are all packaged as a powder, it can be used as a seasoning as well.

The vegetable dashi is a consomme-style dashi made with 5 different vegetables: onion, garlic, celery, carrot, and cabbage powdered and packaged. Best used to season soups, or pasta.

Kayanoya locations in Tokyo include Tokyo Midtown, Tokyo Station, Nihonbashi, Shinjuku Takashimaya, Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C., Haneda Airport. The Tokyo Midtown location has a Kayanoya restaurant located right next to the shop. For a full list of stores in Japan visit http://www.kayanoya.com/en/shop/
