We spent a long weekend in Karuizawa last month and were surprised to see many store closures at the Karuizawa Prince Outlet as there were undergoing renewal (the stores that were closed should be reopened and in a new location by the first weekend of July). We were also disappointed to see the Yugawa Furusato Park closed for the summer. So we spent a rainy day at the Amusement Garden located in the Outlet`s NEW WEST area and spent a beautiful, sunny day strawberry picking. If you plan on vacationing in Nagano next spring/summer I highly recommend strawberry picking with your kids – my kids loved it!
