International Women’s Day Event – Spot Light on Japan, March 8th, 2016

On March 8th, around the world, millions of people will come together to mark International Women’s Day. In Tokyo, we will be celebrating the achievements of women and pledging to accelerate gender equality together. Join a fun, educational and inspiring event on the evening of March 8th.

International Women’s Day – Spot Light on Japan

Gender equality is something that affects everyone, whether female or male, a parent, a grandparent, aunt or uncle, working or non-working.

So we are welcoming everyone who wants to make a difference; at a personal, charitable, community or professional level, to come along for an inspiring, fun and interactive evening.

In addition to enjoying fine wines and delicious food we’ll be hearing from four thought provoking female speakers:-

  • Janelle Sasaki – Executive Director, Diversity & Inclusion Services at Ernst & Young Advisory Japan
  • Christine Edman – Country Manager, H&M
  • Jody Ono – Assistant Professor, ICS Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo
  • Lauren Bliss Kawasaki – former Amazon executive, and Founder of Best Living Japan K.K.

Mirai no MoriMirai no Mori, an inspirational Japan based NPO will be helping us think of ways we can all make a difference. All proceeds from the event will go to Mirai no Mori. NPO Mirai no Mori creates life-changing outdoor programs for abused, neglected, and orphaned Japanese children. Find out more at http://mirai-no-mori.jp/?lang=en

  • Price: ¥10,000 (includes fine wine, delicious food and a charity donation to Mirai no Mori)
