Heiwa no Mori Park (Ota-ku, Toky) – Great Family Athletic Park

One of the best parks for active kids is Heiwa no Mori Park in Ota-ku. This park has been one of our family’s favorites for years. The boys can run, climb and get wet, burning off hours of energy! All kids and active adults will love Heiwa no Mori Park, but ideal age range is 6-14 years. If you love this park, you should check out the Shinagawa Children’s Adventure Park nearby which has a great playground, mud park, free bikes and a swimming pool in the summer. 

Heiwa no Mori Park (Ota-ku, Shinagawa) – Great Family Athletic Park

The official name in Japanese is 平和の森公園 フィールドアスレチックコース that translates to Heiwa no Mori Koen Field Athletic Course. The park is set-up with over Heiwa no Mori Park, Tokyo with Kids Playgrounds and Adventure Park40 climbing, swinging, pulling and rowing activities. For less than 1,000 yen, an entire family can spend a great half day.

There are vending machines, but bring snacks or an obento to enjoy your time even more!

There is also a very convenient parking at Heiwa no Mori Park which cost less than 500 yen for a few hours.

Access: By train:10 min walk from Keihin Kyuko Heiwajima Station. By bus: Take a bus bound for Haneda Airport or Morigasaki or Omori Higashi 5 chome from JR Omori Station east exit. Get off at Heiwajima bus stop and walk 10 minutes.

Parking: There is paid parking near the entrance. (google map)

  1. It would be good if this article mentioned where the main entrance is and if there is parking near by. For parents with multiple children, or younger children, this would be very helpful.
