Harbor Circuit (Chiba) – Indoor Go-Carting for 4 Years and Up!

Harbor Circuit (Chiba) – Indoor Go-Carting for 4 years and up!  Harbor Circuit in Chiba is a great place to spend a few hours for indoor go-carting.  If you have a speed demon in your family, this is a great family outing or a location for a birthday party. You can try one race for six mins, multiple runs or rent the entire race track. There are three speeds of go-carts available; Bambino for four years to 1st grade (10 KM per hour max), 1st grade to 14 years (40 KM per hour max) and 15+ (a50 KM per hour max). The indoor course is open year round rain or shine. We combined with a shopping trip to Makuhari Costco. For all fun things transportation check here (attractions, shopping and trivia).

If you have a kids birthday party approaching, I think this would be a great location. You can rent the entire track for 6- 90 mins. All the rental details are on their website in English. They have free car parking outside the building. The building is quite old and a Harbor Circuit (Chiba) -Tokyo area indoor go cart racing, Tokyo area with kidsquestionable working elevator, so use the stairs heading to the 2nd floor. The staff at the front desk did not speak English, but all the registration forms are in English. Once you complete your license form (go-cart license for 500 yen), you will pay for your desired package. Once paid you will need to watch a 5 min safety video in Japanese. The video is quite easy to understand even if you don’ understand Japanese. My 5-year-old did not understand a thing from the video but did a great job driving the go-cart safely. The facility is very tuned into safety and was meticulous about making sure our helmets were fitted correctly, we had proper shoes and were not wearing loose clothing. After finishing the video, you must wait for your number to be called (we waited ten mins) and then start your engines. While waiting, you can enjoy soda in the waiting area and watch other racers.

Harbor Circuit (Chiba) -Tokyo area indoor go cart racing, Tokyo area with kidsAfter your race is complete you will be given scores printed out and ranked against others in your team and also for the entire day! If you rent the space for a party trophies are given as prizes to the best racers.

I was told you could bring a birthday cake and beverages, but you need to ask in advance to make sure it will not be too crowded. Overall a great experience. Have fun!
