Tokyo Supermarket Grocery Delivery

I love online grocery delivery in Japan — it`s fast and convenient, but sometimes I`m not too happy with the delivery; the lack of crispness in my greens, my fruits being too ripe, and the very short expiration date on my dairy products–okay, so I`m a little picky when it comes to my groceries. I was thrilled when I found out my local supermarkets (Tokyu & Precce) offer 当日お届けサービス (toujitsu otodoke sa-bisu), in other words, “same day delivery”. All I had to do was confirm that I was within the delivery area then I filled-out the form below with my address, name and phone number.

Precce then gave me a card  (Tokyu gave me a similar card with the “Tokyu” logo to fill out. I printed my phone number next to “No.” then, I printed my name on the bottom line.

Now, all I have to do is present this card and receipt at the service counter after I`ve completed my shopping, state the window of time that I want my groceries delivered then I head home–easy!

Precce Nakameguro: B1 Level at GT Tower
– Free delivery for groceries totalling 5000 yen or more. A 315 yen charge for groceries less than 5000 yen.
– They bag the items for you.
– Grocery delivery is from 1-3pm / 4-6pm / 7-9pm. Purchase your groceries at least an hour before the delivery time to meet the earliest delivery time slot.
*Restrictions: Sashimi. Groceries must weigh under 25kg

Tokyu Store Nakameguro
– Free delivery for groceries totalling 5000 yen or more. A 315 yen charge for groceries less than 5000 yen.
– You bag the items yourself.
– Grocery delivery is from 1-3pm / 4-6pm / 7-9pm. Purchase your groceries at least an hour before the delivery time to meet the earliest delivery time slot.
*Restrictions: Sashimi, soft fruit (peaches, strawberries, etc). Groceries must weigh under 25kg

– Shop between 9am – 3pm and they can deliver your groceries the same day.
– Delivery time between 4 – 7pm.
