Genmian Brown Rice and Vegetables Cafe, Osaka

genmianGenmian Brown rice and vegetables cafe is a welcome stop after days of sightseeing, and takoyaki and kushikatsu (Osaka street food). Genmian cafe serves healthy meals with carefully selected ingredients focusing on brown rice and seasonal vegetables that are close to pesticide free. They serve meat and poultry that is antibiotic-free, farm raised and nurtured and a registered dietitian supervises the balancing of each meal.

We stopped in the popular Tennoji location at the Mio Plaza overlooking Tennoji Central Park and minutes from Bornelund Playville, Tennoji Zoo, and Spa World. We ordered their 39 healthy items special which came with refillable brown rice and a vegetable-packed miso soup,genmiantofu, salad, wakame, vegetables, dessert and nutritious drink (980 JPY). Their menu and website tells you where the ingredients are sourced for example their brown rice is from a farm in Saku City, Nagano, vegetables from Wakayama and Kagoshima Prefecture, their cage-free chicken from Ishikawa, etc. Stop in for a healthy and delicious meal.
