Market of the Sun (Kachidoki) — Enjoy the Market of the Sun this beautiful weekend at Japan’s largest regular urban farmers’ market. Over 100 vendors participate from around the country, of which more than half are local organic vegetable producers. This month you will see a lot of fermented specialities including sweet sake (amaze) to all kinds of additive-free miso and soy sauces. Fun place for adults and children since many of the vendors also have workshops that will keep little minds and hands busy. Grab some delicious food and then spend some time at the Children’s Park play area. One more stop up the Oedo line you can also try the Blue Bottle Coffee shop then visit the Fukugawa-Edo Museum. If you do not want to jump over the Sumida River to a farmers market, you can always try the UN Farmers Market near Omotesando.
