2018 Tokyo Santa Claus Meet & Greet Locations

It can be a challenge finding Santa in Tokyo, but we have double check the list and can recommend these ten 2018 Tokyo Santa Claus meet & greet locations between now and Christmas. Not all places allow for sitting on Santa’s lap and personal photo opportunities but where allowed we have added the info below. 1. LaQua Tokyo Dome (Korakoen, Bunkyo-ku) – Santa will visit the LaQua shopping area at Tokyo Dome over five days this December 2018. This year he`ll wear a yukata and walk around the shopping area between 15:00 – 18:30 (see details below). Kids can talk to him and take informal Santa Claus photos. Tokyo Dome is a super outing – Asobono playcenter, roller skating, amusement park or Spa the entire day.

Event: December 15 (Saturday), December 16 (Sunday), December 22 (Saturday) – December 24 (Monday); 15:00 on the 3rd floor, 16:00 on the 4th floor; 17:00 and 18:00 in the La Qua Garden for 30 min sessions

2. Toys R Us & Babies R Us (various locations) – Santa will be visiting a few of the Tokyo area locations between now and Christmas. Kids can talk to him as he walks around the store and take photos with Santa Claus. Each day he is on location from 11:30 -12:00; 13:00- 13:30, 15:00-15:30, 16:00 -16:30 and 17:00-17:30.

3. Roppongi Hills (Minato-ku) – Santa will visit Roppongi Hills for three days right before Christmas. Get your camera ready and search for him at the times and locations listed below.

② 16: 00 ~ 17: 00 West Walk 2F
③ 18: 15 ~ 20: 00 West Walk 2F

Also, while in the area check out the beautiful illuminations in Roppongi Hills and Mid-Town area. You should also pop into the Grand Hyatt Hotel Lobby to take some photos of the beautiful illumination on display. Happy Holidays!

4. Gate City Plaza Osaki (Osaki, Shinagawa-ku) – If you line-up at 9:00 and get one of the 300 tickets being distributed for December 23rd, you can have a photo opportunity sitting on the lap of Santa. This event is very popular so I highly recommend going early to grab a ticket. The tickets distributed are for sessions at 13:30 and 16:00. Ticket and Santa location is in the Atrium of the Gate City Plaza.

5. Ikspari Santa (Tokyo Disney Resort) – Meet Santa and take a photo with him and his sleigh right in front of the Dreamy Tree! Everyone will enjoy meeting Santa! Turn on the Christmas lights with Santa, each day at 17:30.

Dates: Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays, along with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Hours: From 13:00, 14:30, 16:00 and 17:30 (lasting around 30 minutes)
Location: Celebration Plaza (2nd Floor)
(In case of inclement weather, festivities will be held at B’ Way on the second floor.)
How to participate: Present receipts totaling at least ¥3,000 (including tax) at event site from 12:30PM each day to receive a group ticket. Availability limited to 30 groups per event.

6. Kidzania – A green Santa will visit Kidzania this weekend. Why is Santa dressed in green? He is communicating that the environment is important and should be preserved and protected. Enjoy a fun play day at Kidzania and see Santa.

7. Hotel Chinzan-so Tokyo (Bunkyo-ku) – Santa Greeting offered for only three days there is a limited event where you can take a commemorative photo with Santa Claus.

8. Nihonbashi Takashimaya Department Store (Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku) – One of our favorite Japanese department stores is lucky to have Santa Claus visiting the day before Christmas Eve. Times and location yet to be determined. Please check back for updates.
