Tsutaya Electrics in Futakotamagawa is my new favorite place to sit back, relax and enjoy a good book with or without the kids while browsing their art, appliances, and home space. Located near the creative DIY Factory where you can learn, make, buy DIY products; the 100 Spoons Family Restaurant, Futakotamaga Park, Japanese Garden and playground; Zara Home; and a number of great shops, family-friendly events and delicious restaurants this is a place that will keep you shopping for hours.
As you walk in from the 2nd floor of Tsutaya Electrics you`re welcome to lush plants, seasonal products on sale and a large, cozy space filled with an array of books. Walk past the display to the children`s books hallway. Tsutaya Electrics provides a good selection of English books and cushioned cubbies with small tables providing comfort for families. Located next to the children`s book section sits Bornelund, the Tokyo-based toy store which focuses on importing educational toys. They have a toddler space and table for kids up to elementary school age to test out different toys they have for sale. Tsutaya Electrics also provides free wifi for three hours and nursing room with hot water dispenser and diaper changing table.
Explore the rest of the store by visiting the food and cooking, and beauty & wellness area. Take in the aroma from their “live” dining table, or test out one of their massage chairs. Tsutaya Electrics also shares the space with Solso (Plants, Home & Garden Store), Artflex (home furnishings) Bang & Olufsen (audio visual), Good Meals Cafe with Take out and Salon. Located on the 1st floor is a Starbucks cafe with outdoor seating facing the bus turnabout (kids will love watching the buses go by), the Motovelo Bicycle store a great place to test out bikes, Apple product store, music and video rental.
