NEM Coffee, Hiroo – Simply Beautiful Hidden Tokyo Coffee Shop

NEM coffee shop is a personal and creative hideaway in a Hiroo alleyway. A great change of pace from Seigfredo and Starbuck in Hiroo.  NEM is tucked in a residential alley between the German Embassy and National NEM Coffee, HirooAzabu Supermarket. A creative and young couple opened the one room NEM Coffee, Hiroo coffee shop, serving up delicious lattes, tea, and quick meals.  The toasted egg sandwich and a foaming latte is a great way to start a good day. Kids are also welcome to enjoy some juice and Japanese sweet bean paste sweets. NEM is a coffee shop that people come to talk not work on their computers!

The owning couple, with experience in furniture, interior design and coffee appreciation, renovated a 50 year old house giving birth to this little haven in the Fall of 2016.  The name NEM is derived from the word Nemunoki (Silk tree) which blooms from sunrise to sunset. NEM is not open at sunrise but from 8:00.

NEM’s location on the main street is only identified by a small blackboard sign with an arrow NEM Coffee, Hiroopointing down the alley. Note: There is wifi, but you need to ask for the code at the counter. My dog also loves sitting outside NEW greeting all.
