 1. International School of the Sacred Heart Family Festival (Hiroo, Shibuya-ku) — Saturday, March 18th, 2017 from 10:00 – 14:30 (rain or shine!) –  A great festival which is open to the public. This festival has it all – raffle, international food and drink, activities and music and entertainment.

2. The 25th Tokyo St. Patrick`s Day Parade, Omotesando – This is Japan’s biggest St. Patrick`s Day Parade. Not to be missed on Sunday, March 19th from 13:00 -15:00 in Omotesando. Every year you can watch and participate in the parade in Omotesando. The Tokyo parade is organized by the Irish Network Japan (INJ). Don on your green, get out and celebrate.

3. I Love Ireland Festival, Yoyogi – Before or after the Tokyo St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, check out the I Love Ireland Festival in Yoyogi Park.  This one-day event is free and a real kid pleaser. I personally believe one of the best Tokyo Family Activities this Spring.  Last year over 35,000 people attended and this year is expected to be even bigger. Check out the festival’s promo video from the 2015 festival for a good taste of the very green day! This year will be the 4th annual I Love Ireland Festival and an awesome day of fun, food and festivities.

Over 30 booths from top sports apparel and equipment brands, yoga lessons, craft booths, live performances, and sports workshops (including Frisbee, cycling and jogging).

March 18 & 19, 2017 Tokyo Weekend Family Events and Activities5. Akasaka Mama Sacas 2017 (Akasaka):  Many activities for kids at the annual Sacas Spring event at the TBS Broadcast Center Arena. We visited last year and had so much fun. Open to the public this event showcases a number of free activities; petting zoo (March 17, 18, 23, 31 & April 1), bike riding classroom (March 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 & April 1, 2), phys ed, labyrinth and more.

Tokyo Tower Taiwan Festival (Shibakoen) – This free 3-day event held beneath Tokyo Tower will feature Taiwanese cuisine, live performances and information booths for travel tips to Taiwan. Enjoy Taiwanese culture, art and amazing food!
