Are you looking for a kid-friendly 2015 Tokyo area Halloween events? If you are looking for something fun to do this Halloween, here is a good list of events. Halloween is getting more and more popular in Japan. About 10 years ago it was hard to find decorations and candy, now every 100 yen store has decorations and most stores sell some sort of Halloween themed chocolate or chips. Group parties and parades are now the norm, with some “more international” neighbourhoods having tricker treating. If you are trick-or-treating please read the etiquette of trick-or-treating and share with your Japanese and foreign friends. Here is also a list of costume, decorations and candy shopping options. Have a fun and safe Halloween!

  1. This year the holiday is giving me stress….kid has school on Halloween, it is their Fall Concert Day (they go ALL day but then get the Monday off) and the weekend before I am busy with a bazaar at our church in Yokohama. I hoping Motomachi Street will have their event early enough on the 31st or late enough on the 24th because we also are thinking about going to Seoul after school on October 31 until Nov 3. I know, first world problems!
