Looking for some great Family Friendly Events For Golden Week? Here are four fun activities for the family.
1) Peter Rabbit`s Happy Garden at Ebisu Garden Place (Apr 22 – May 31) Free!
Spend the day at the Ebisu Garden Place enjoying the Peter Rabbit Garden as well as lunch at their Peter Rabbit themed Picnic Club. If it gets too hot for the little ones, take a break indoors at the infant & toddler play area in the Mitsukoshi Dept Store or explore the Yebisu Beer Museum.
If your young kids get bored exploring the garden let them run around at the nearby playground, Kageoka Playground, or catch a movie at the newly built Ebisu Garden Cinema. Parents can shop while the kids nap at the Mitsukoshi Dept store or at Atre closer to Ebisu Station.
There are many family-friendly restaurants in the area as well as cafes and food stores with take out options.

2) Nikufest – Japan Meat Festival Tokyo 2015 (Apr 24-29, closed Apr 30, May 1-6) Free!
Carnivore’s rejoice! Komazawa Olympic Park is filled with restaurants exhibiting goodies from all over the world, including craft beers and desserts.
Let your kids work off the food at one of the three animal-themed playgrounds or rent bikes for the kids or for the entire family at one of their cycling centers.

3) Futakotamagawa Rise (Apr 12 – May 6) Free!
Futakotamagawa Rise is celebrating the opening of a new addition to their complex. Their outdoor shopping complex is beautifully designed with many new stores (Tsutaya electronics, Zara Home, Rakuten cafe, etc.), a cinema, restaurants and an enclosed vegetable garden on the roof of their building. Kids can enjoy watching the incredible Strandbeet art on display come to life (12pm, 4pm, 8pm), live performances, participate in a painting activity (1500 yen) or run around at their newly renovated park nearby (a 10-min walk from Futakotamagawa station).
4) Tokyo Midtown Open Park Event (Apr 24 – May 24) Free!
Enjoy the greenery as well as morning or moonlit yoga, read books at the open air library event (mainly Japanese books), watch the Guiness Book of Records challenge, have a tasting at the Whiskey Cafe, or take photos with Godzilla.
