Doraemon & TV Asahi Summer Station, Roppongi Hills

IMG_657466 Adorable Life-sized Doraemon statues at Roppongi Hills marks the beginning of their annual Summer Station. TV Asahi and Roppongi Hills` Summer Station event is filled with Live Performances by a number of music groups such as Super Girls, May.J, AKB48 Team 8, EXILE THE SECOND and more daily till August 28. Anime Hero Shows for young anime fans by Kamen Rider Ghost and Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger are a young crowd pleaser. Visitors can take Doraemonphotos with the 66 unique Doraemon statues, watch live shows and exciting performances, taste a variety of different food and cool off with a collection of Kakigori (Shaved Ice flavoured with syrup). Visitor can also enter the TV Asahi “exhibit hall” which features popular cartoons and variety shows from the network. A great location to spend your summer.

GhibliIf you`re a Ghibli fan visit the 52nd floor of the Mori Tower for a look at their enormous Ghibli exhibition. This installation is viewable till September 11 and includes animation material from all of the studio’s movies, which spans an impressive 30 years. Admission is 1800 yen for Adults, 1200 yen for HS and University Students, and 600 yen for Children (4 years to JHS age).

If your little ones want to have more fun stop by Robot Park to let them burn off some energy. Have a fun and safe summer!

    I will be in Tokyo from November 25 to 27. Are the life-sized Doraemon statues still displayed at Roppongi Hills? If not, where can I else see them aside from the Doraemon Museum at Noborito? I like Doraemon a lot and would love to see these life-sized statues!
